On October 29, 2005 at the NJ Gold's Gym Classic Bodybuilding Championships Bodybuilding.com presented the Legendary Bill Grant with a Lifetime achievement award. Bill was on hand to greet up and coming competitors and speak on behalf of the sport. This award was handed to Bill for his dedication and never ending contributions to the sport of Bodybuilding.

Bill Grant has proven himself to be one of Bodybuilding's most durable personalities. He made his mark in the pre "Pumping Iron" days, an era that started it all and was popularized by fellow legends such as Frank Zane, Larry Scott and of course Arnold himself. Bill Grant has been an innovator right from the beginning of his career. He was the first bodybuilder to introduce special effects in his posing routine such as strobe lighting, fog, colored lights and upbeat music as he felt bodybuilding was not only a sport but should be entertaining as well.

To this day Bill Grant continues to contribute to the sport and is an Icon in his own right. He holds the IFBB titles of Mr. World and Mr. America and is a well-known international bodybuilding celebrity. Bill is active in numerous community and charitable organizations including the Metropolitan YMCAs of the Oranges Kids Care Club, Newark YMCA Sports Legends, the Parkinson's Unity Walk, and the Alan T. Brown Foundation.

We congratulate Bill on his achievements and want to Thank Him for being an example to future champions on how hard work, perseverance and pure drive to be the best will only lead to the road of success. Bodybuilding.com representative Michele Lynn was on hand to present the award. To see more information on Bill Grant, please visit www.billgrant.net.
